Race: Görbehaza (401.34 km)

What kind of race - semi-final 401km, AviRings Derby 2022!

We are delighted that we finally managed to have a typical race. On the first day, we got 426 pigeons from 650 sent; the next day, we got more than 100 still missing pigeons, and we are sure some of them will also come.

Hard race, with many high clouds at the start and strong side wind in the last 150km of the race. Pigeons came more or less one by one, with no bigger groups than seven pigeons, which you can also see on the arrival density chart.

We are very proud of the performance of the Slovenian fanciers; double victory goes this time to Slovenia. What a performance, in the first 18 pigeons, there were six from local Slovenian fanciers! Congratulation! We are very proud!

Semi-final was very good “training” for the final race, which will be next weekend if the weather allows. Pigeons will recover quickly; we are taking care of that. In the middle of the week, we will have one training, giving pigeons the needed confidence before the final race.
