THE FINAL RACE — THE SEASON COMES TO AN END

After an incredible season and two demanding 500 km finals, the moment finally arrived.

On 26 September, AviRings Derby PRO 2026 came to its final racing challenge. 998 pigeons were basketed for the last 520.83 km journey.

And once again, the final delivered an exciting race.

A fantastic performance to finish the 2026 racing season.

The battle at the front was extremely close, with the first pigeons separated by only a few minutes.

The final race also produced the last Fancier of the Race winner of the season.

Across the eight official races, the Fancier of the Race title was won by different teams, demonstrating just how competitive the 2026 season was.

MASTER FANCIER 2026 — THE OVERALL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

But one of the biggest questions of the entire season was still waiting to be answered:

Who was the strongest team across the complete 2026 season?

The answer is:

GEORGIOS & DIMITRIOS KALAMARAS (A)​​​​​​​

The Kalamaras team won the 2026 AviRings Master Fancier, the overall team-performance competition, with less than 6 minutes ahead of the very well-known Ganus Family loft from the US!

The Master Fancier is a true test of depth and consistency. Each team can have a maximum of 10 pigeons, and at every official race the combined flight time of the team's two best pigeons counts towards the overall ranking. After nine official races, the team with the lowest combined time takes the title.

The Master Fancier title is perhaps the best reflection of the depth, consistency and quality of a team throughout the entire season. Congratulations to the best Fanciers in AviRings Derby Pro 2026!!!!

AND THE 3×500 CUP

The final long-distance championship also reached its conclusion.

1st place: SG Steffl — 20:36:33

2nd place: Bratwurstclique — 20:55:32

3rd place: Bokhara Team — 20:56:16

The 3×500 Cup is decided by the lowest combined flight time across the three 500 km finals — making consistency over three demanding long-distance races the key to victory.

SIXTH SEASON — ANOTHER JOURNEY COMPLETED

From 3,214 paid pigeons at the beginning of the season to the final 998 pigeons, the 2026 AviRings Derby PRO season has been a long journey.

It was our sixth season, and once again it was a season of learning, analysing and improving.

Every race brought new information.

Every difficult flight taught us something.

And our GPS technology gave us an increasingly detailed picture of what happens during the actual flight.

The season ended with champions in the Final Race, Fancier of the Race, Master Fancier and 3×500 Cup.
