Race 4 (320km) was probably the most challenging race, we ever had in our derby. We will try to find the answer - although it seems mysterious. We had 1/3 of the birds at home on the first day; the next day, we could be again happy about how the birds were coming home, till the evening 615 pigeons were back.

We got info about our pigeons in Szombathely, Sarvar in Hungary, and Brno in Czech Republic. On the other hand, our pigeons bring 11 other pigeons with them.  Thursday was the first normal day for pigeon races, after 9 days of rain and bad weather, obviously a lot of birds were in the air. 3 pigeons come injured by birds of prey, which could be at least one of the reasons for the run of the race 4.

To all others who are still expecting their pigeons, we wish that pigeons will return and will get more luck at race 5 (400 km) at the end of next week.

We got a nice visit from Slovenian fanciers together with the president of Slovenian racing pigeons association Boštjan Podjed, which were waiting for the pigeons to arrive from race 4.
