🏆 AviRings Derby 2025 – Final Race 1 (508 km)

We warmly congratulate the winner, Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp from the Netherlands, whose pigeon NL25-1095104 secured a brilliant victory with a speed of 1223 m/min, finishing four minutes ahead of the field. The Eijerkamp name is legendary in pigeon racing, and this win adds another jewel to their crown.

The winning pigeon descends from some of the finest OLR bloodlines in Europe. Its father Vasili is a proven racer and breeder, half-brother to the 3rd Final Africa Pro OLR 600 km (2023), and sire of an Olympiad pigeon Maastricht 2022 as well as the Super Ace As Golden OLR Greece 2022

. The mother Aphrodite was a finalist herself in the As Golden Race and has already bred pigeons that excelled at Viking and Ostwestfalen derbies

. Within this pedigree we also find names like Olympic Hans (Olympiad Brussels Cat D Allround 2017), Barend J., and Aniek, all super breeders from the Heremans-Ceusters and Leideman families. A bloodline filled with champions, now crowned by this major OLR triumph.

Second place goes to Austria, with Herbert & Roland Krempler and their pigeon AUT-2025-405-352. This pigeon carries a strong genetic foundation combining Renders and Schlechtriem blood. On the father’s side, we find direct Renders pigeons that excelled in middle-distance races, while the dam brings in elite Frank Schlechtriem lines, including an Enkelsohn of the “Great One” and a half-sister of “Intel Queen”, one of Schlechtriem’s standout hens. These are truly “best of the best” origins, perfectly balanced between speed and endurance — and now proven once again on the AviRings stage.

Third place is awarded to Team Jens & Simon from Denmark, whose pigeon DAN-232-25-2024 landed with the leaders and secured a podium spot. The pedigree is stacked with OLR stars: the sire is DAN-232-20-0751 “Out and Home”, a consistent AviRings performer and half-brother to multiple international marathon winners. On the dam’s side, the lines shine with PIPA Elite Center breeding — direct grandchildren of “Porsche 911” and “Prince Porsche”, some of the most famous OLR producers worldwide. This combination brings together the best Danish, Dutch, and Belgian bloodlines, already proving its worth with this outstanding performance.

It should also be noted that the first drop included the top three, joined by Team Ten Klei & Lochtenberg (NL-2025-1200484), arriving together with a three-minute lead over the nearest chasers. Such a front group underscores both the toughness of the competition and the quality of these exceptional pigeons.

With bloodlines featuring Olympic champions, proven OLR winners, and iconic breeders, the top of Final Race 1 is a showcase of modern racing pigeon excellence. Congratulations once again to all the winners — AviRings Derby 2025 is already shaping up to be unforgettable
