Dear participants / dear prize winners
We finished the season 2025 – it was a demanding, but a very rewarding one. Our new concept of 3x 500 km brought the best pigeons to the surface. 3 difficult races, each of different in terms of conditions (temperature, wind, clouds, direction), however, the best pigeons were always at the top of the list. No coincidence, no luck, just the quality.
A lot of you won prizes! Congratulations once again. The money prizes are now booked on your accounts at AviRingsApp.
You can use these funds for internal transactions (auction purchases, derby fees for 2026, etc). You can also order the payout of the funds to your bank account.
Normally, AviRings Derby has to pay 25% taxes in Slovenia from the prize money, which means 75% is going to the prize winner.
But - according to European tax regulation, prize money can be paid in the full amount (100%) to non-Slovenian citizens - if the prize receiver submits a certificate of tax residency to us.
Step 1: Residency statement
So far, there have been two different methods for submitting this: some have provided only an official certificate from their country (e.g., the Dutch, Danes...), while others have submitted the certified KIDO 8 form - this form also confirms residency.
If one submits other residency confirmation as KIDO 8, the signed declaration authorizing the AviRings Derby Klub to submit the KIDO 8 in your name must be included.
IMPORTANT: The residency statement has to be officially confirmed by local tax authorities.
Step 2: Slovenian tax authority
AviRings Derby PRO forwards your residency statement to the Slovenian tax authorities for further confirmation. This procedure usually takes 2-3 weeks.
Step 3: Confirmation by the Slovenian tax authority and payout of the prize money
The Slovenian tax office issues the positive confirmation, and AviRings Derby PRO pays out the prize to the winner.
Dear prize-winners, please start to arrange the documents, so we can complete the prize money payout. You can find the blank form of the KIDO-8 in the English version at the end of the email. We also added the form for power of attorney/authorization for AviRings Derby PRO in case AviRings inserts the Kido-8 for the prize winners.
