Dear AviRings Derby PRO participants,
the statuses of all pigeons have been updated and will continue to be updated dynamically until the end of the races. Whenever there are further changes to the status of your pigeons, you will be notified by email.
You can always view the current status of your pigeons in your AviRings account.
Team Rules
To prepare for the team competitions (Fancier of the Race & Master Fancier), the system has automatically grouped your pigeons into teams.
If you had already organized your pigeons into teams before today, we have not made any changes, but we invite you to check again now that the statuses have been updated.
If you have registered more than 5 pigeons, they have been randomly assigned to teams. Teams are labeled with letters A, B, C, etc.
A team consists of 5 or 10 pigeons, depending on the total number of pigeons entered by the fancier.
If the number of pigeons could not be divided evenly, the last team may contain fewer pigeons. Every team with at least 2 pigeons can participate in the team competitions.
Fanciers who have entered more than 10 pigeons may create multiple teams (A, B, C, etc.) according to their preference, with each team containing up to 10 pigeons.
Now It's Your Turn!
No one knows your pigeons better than you – and this is your chance! Now you have the opportunity to arrange your teams however you wish, improving your chances of achieving a great result.
If you have registered exactly 5 pigeons, they form a single team that cannot be changed.
If you have 7 or more pigeons, you can rearrange them into teams however you like.
Important: If a team is left with only one pigeon, it will no longer be eligible to compete in the Team Competitions (Fancier of the Race and Master Fancier). To remain eligible, a team must have at least 2 active pigeons.
Good news! If one of your missing pigeons returns and the team once again has 2 or more active pigeons, the team will automatically re-enter the competition.
Where and How Do I Manage My Teams?
You can manage your teams in your AviRings account until the first race.
- Log in to your AviRings account.
- View your pigeons on your dashboard or by clicking the "My Pigeons" page in your account.
- Assign your pigeons to the desired teams and save your changes.
NEW IN 2026: Joint Teams for Small Participants
Participants who have entered only one small team (up to 5 pigeons) may form joint teams for the Fancier of the Race and Master Fancier competitions.
Two participants who have each entered a maximum of 5 pigeons in the 2026 AviRings Derby Pro may agree to join forces and create one joint team of up to 10 pigeons.
NOTE: This option applies only to the Fancier of the Race and Master Fancier competitions. Any prize money won by a joint team will automatically be divided equally (50:50) between both participants.
If you would like to create a joint team, please contact us at info@avirings.com and provide the details of both fanciers, along with the nickname you would like to use for your joint team.
We recommend that you regularly monitor the statuses of your pigeons, as this information is important for team formation. The option to organize and rearrange your teams will remain open until the first race. After that, team management will be locked, and no further changes will be possible.
For all participants with 5 or fewer pigeons, we recommend considering the creation of a joint team to increase your chances of winning prizes in the team competitions.
